Every tennis coach Singapore families book through TAG International Tennis Academy has cleared the same bar: a professional playing background — an ATP/ITF ranking or top-10 national playing history — plus recognised certification (PTR, USPTA, ITF or AATC) and registration where applicable on Singapore’s National Registry of Coaches. That selection standard is the difference between hiring “someone who plays well” and hiring a professional who can actually build your game, or your child’s.
How TAG Selects Its Tennis Coaches
Singapore has hundreds of people offering tennis lessons. TAG accepts only a small fraction of coach applicants, assessed on four things: verified playing credentials, teaching certification, the ability to communicate with students of different ages and temperaments, and a willingness to coach inside a structured curriculum rather than improvising each session. Many of our coaches actively compete — and win — in the Singapore Open and STA Inter-Club A Division, so the standards they teach to are the standards they play to.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I verify a tennis coach’s credentials in Singapore?

How much does a tennis coach cost in Singapore?
Rates depend on format, coach seniority and venue. See our 2026 tennis lesson price guide for a transparent breakdown of private and group rates.
Can I choose between a private coach and group coaching?
Yes — and many students combine both. Our private vs group comparison explains which format suits which goal.
Do you have female tennis coaches and ladies programmes?
Yes — see our ladies tennis lessons page for women’s coaching options at every level.
